Shayna's Place, a Sandwich Shop Where Every Meal Comes With All the Love You Need

Shayna’s Place is an award-winning, family-owned restaurant serving breakfast and lunch in Wickford Village. Since opening in 2015, Shayna’s has garnered multiple awards, including:

Yelp's Top 50 Sandwich Shops Across America

Yelp August 2024: Best Sandwich Shop in Rhode Island

Yelp October 2019; Best Sandwich Shop in Rhode Island

USA Today 2017: 10 Best Reader's Choice Awards: Best Grinder in Rhode Island

While the awards and accolades are a testament to high-quality food and service, Shayna's Place is more than a great local place for breakfast or lunch.

Shayna's is about family.

Opened nearly ten years ago by Matt and Margie Olerio, their mission was to establish a place where their 30-year-old daughter Shayna could follow her passions and flourish. Shayna, who has Down Syndrome – which the family calls Up Syndrome because of the light and love emerging from her – is the ultimate foodie and music lover. It’s why a custom DJ booth was added in the back of the restaurant. For a few hours each day, Shayna entertains the lunchtime crowd with her custom mix of music. “Shayna is about love, compassion toward others, laughter, and hospitality – she makes everyone feel important,” added owner Matt Olerio. “We’re excited to be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year, and thrilled to be a part of the local community while Shayna touches the world.”

Shayna’s Place – award-winning food, outstanding service, and music in a family atmosphere. It’s where love is all you need! And don’t miss Shayna’s BNB, now open and welcoming guests in the beautiful new harbor view escape, located above their cozy cafe.
