PJ’s Hospitality Group Elevates Food and Service at Three Locations
Though the restaurants under PJ's Hospitality Group may have distinct vibes, they do share two crucial elements in common: great food and unrivaled service. “We take pride in curating the whole experience,” shares owners Paul Voigt and Johnny Krikorian, who take a hands-on approach to running PJ’s Pub and The Gentleman Cigar in Cranston and The Social House, which recently opened in Warwick.
The entrepreneurial duo brings 50 years of combined experience to the restaurant group. A Johnson & Wales University graduate who went on to become a professor at his alma mater, Voigt managed the well-known Atomic Grille in Providence. Also a hospitality professional, Krikorian’s experience stems from the long-running Rhode Island nightclub, Barry’s. The two met working at Restaurant Prov, where Voigt was the manager, and the rest is history.
You can always find either Voigt or Krikorian working alongside their dedicated team of core staff who share in the privilege of realizing the vision of each establishment, many of whom have been with them from the start. PJ’s Pub, a high-volume sports bar that’s been around for 16 years, wins over guests with great wings and camaraderie. The Gentleman, open since 2017, is an upscale cigar and cocktail lounge with over 100 members, and it’s open to the public. At The Social House, the focus is on nightlife, with playful cocktails and shareable plates, along with events. No two atmospheres are exactly alike, but each honors the Cheers code: neighborhood bars “where everybody knows your name."
“In the true spirit of hospitality, not just the food or service or space is the focus – it’s the combination of all three that brings our guests back again and again, and many have become close friends over the years,” says Voigt. Adds Krikorian, “Customer experience with our staff is where we shine the brightest.”
All three restaurants also serve as event venues, with extensive catering menus both on and off site. Celebrate PJ’s Pub’s 16th anniversary with two days of music and customer appreciation on October 19-20, and both The Gentleman and The Social House are now booking for holiday cocktail parties and mixers.
